When I was seven.

When I was seven years old I wanted to play rugby.So I told my dad I wanted to and he said yes after that we went to sign up at hornby football club.Then a lady said that I could join my dad signed the paper and I had to wait because the club had a holiday.When the club holidays were over I went there on Tuesdays and Thursdays for training I was under 7s that meant I had to repair instead of tackle.after a few years I was under 9s I could tackle people it was hard because when they got the ball I always tried and tried but I could only get some of them but I did not give up,it was fun playing rugby I still play it and my dream for when I grow up is a word rugby star.

What is the IronMaori Tamariki? What does it involve? A IronMaori Tamariki is a event for kids and it involves swimming and running.

If the boy finishes the IronMaori Tamariki event… what does he get? If a boy or garl finishes and comes first they get a medal.

On page 19, how does dad explain himself? Does his son believe him? How do you know that? Dad said to the boy that he was not as fit but he never gave up and told the boy to keep on trying and then the boy ask dad how long they ran and dad said 3-kilometers that's when the boy believed dad and I knew that because I read the text and it told a bit about him.

How far did they run? They ran 3-kilometers

Who does the boy in the story live with? Hey lives with dad.

Where was the race held? The race was held in Napier in december.

What does he tell himself he is before getting into the water and starting the race? He said I got butterflies in his stomach and i'm wearing my togs,my goggles,my swimming cap,and covered with sunblock.

How many kids were in the race? There was only thirty kids in the race.

What did he get for completing the race? When he won he got a big gold medal

There was a singing leaf that can sing.It can sing to communicate,it lays eggs that look like black marbles.

There is a lot of them we only have one kind of species in new zealand but when you are looking for a singing leaf don't look for it at night.

I rate this text 10 out of 10 because I never knew about singing leafs.It was so interesting That the singing leaf can sing to communicate that was awesome I would want to learn more about singing leafs and there is only one kinds of spices in new zealand I never knew that that's why I rate 10 out of 10.

Finally when they were done they had a rest and Mum gave Chris,Hemi,and josh money to get ice cream but one of the boys had to still do the dishes.

I rate this book 10 out of 10 because they had a challenge on who would have I treat but when they were done they had a rest and this was funny they all were winners but not one because his prize was cleaning the dishes that's why I rate this book 10 out of 10.

Learning through my eyes

Throughout 2017 I have some things that I have  enjoyed Maths,Reading,and Inquiry.My favorite was maths because we got to study every time,fractions,devices,edition,

Take away,and telling time.It was hard to read the time because you had to count in fives until you get to the next number and there was half past and quarter past.That was hard but I still got the hang of it.My other favorite thing was sport because there was lots of different type of stuff like high jump,long jump,shot put,and sprints.It was fun doing sports and learning maths and when we do writing my teacher tells us to be quiet.I like to do writing and learning new things I like to do Inquiry too because we got to make stuff out of recycling it was awesome and my favorite thing after schools , is road patrol but I will miss this school when I go to a new one.
