When is Matariki?
Matariki can be on any day but the month does not change,in 2018 its on the 15 June and in 2019 Matariki will begin on the 10 of June.

Atlas-Tupu-ā-rangi, sky tohunga.
Electra – Waipuna-ā-rangi, sky spring.
Taygeta – Waitī, sweet water.
Pleione – Tupu-ā-nuku, Earth tohunga.
What time do people celebrate Matariki?
Some people celebrate Matariki when it is first seen.Some people celebrate the Morai new year on the day the moon rises.
